Classes for Beginners
You've heard about Mah Jongg — maybe seen it at a friend's table, or you just know it's having a moment. You haven't played before, or barely have. This is exactly where you start.
"Trust me on this one — four lessons is the sweet spot. Two lessons will scratch the surface, but four is where it really clicks. Make it a commitment with your friends. You'll be so glad you did."
Mah Jongg for Beginners — 4-Week Series — $200
This daytime or evening class series is the best most comprehensive way to learn Mahj! Our 4-week series is the sweet spot to building a strong foundation and knowledge. We will take you through the basics, cover rules, etiquette and build on your knowledge each week. By week 4 you will be soaring!
Learn the tiles, the card, and play a full game. Expect to feel challenged — that's normal.
Review Week 1, more rules, play a couple of games together.
Build on everything — more rules, more games, picking up the pace.
Guided play. You know what you're doing. Learn 3-player and 2-player Mahj.
The first class is essential — You cannot miss it. You will not catch up.

Mahj 101 + 102 Stack — $150
Mahj 101 is a single session designed to give you a real taste of the game. You'll learn the basics and play — and you'll probably leave wanting more. Most 101 students end up coming back for the full series, because one class is just enough to fall in love with Mahj — not enough to really know it.
Learn the tiles, how the card works, and some of the rules. Play a guided full game. Expect to feel challenged!

Classes for Building Skills
You've taken a class or played a few times. You know the basics but rules aren't fully clicking, strategy feels fuzzy, or you feel like you're slowing people down. That's completely normal — and fixable.
"I want to put people out into the world prepared. If you don't know what you're doing, you slow people down and it's frustrating for everyone — including you. Mahj 102 fills in some of the gaps."
Mahj 102 — $70
You've played a few times — maybe taken a class or two — and you're starting to get it, but something isn't quite clicking yet. Mahj 102 picks up where you left off. No going back to square one. We build on what you already know and fill in the gaps.
Deeper rules, common mistakes, and real strategy. More hands-on play at a faster pace. You'll leave feeling like the game is starting to click.
